Uploading files
To add a file(s) to a given folder in the documents area, click the ‘Upload files/folders’ button, circled in red below.
Choose the relevant folder in which to store the new content, then click next.
N.B. if you navigate into the folder in question prior to upload, it will automatically be selected for your new content.
Choosing the master or ‘root’ folder of the folder list, will add your files/folders at the top level of the data room folder structure (Project Owners only).
On the next screen, you can click ‘Upload file(s)’ to manually navigate your network/device folder structure to locate your files.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop the relevant folders and/or files from your network window to the upload panel, shown below. The upload panel will display an orange border when your items are ready to drop.
Once the files are successfully accepted by our server, they will display a status of ‘Uploaded’. Click next.
If you have created pre-existing groups & permissions, you may select one on the following screen. If not, click next.
Note: you can apply permissions at any point post-upload, via the Project Settings > Permissions screen.
You will now see a confirmation page, summarising the files to be uploaded.
Click confirm.
A dialogue box titled 'Upload complete' will then appear. Click OK.
Your files now reside in your chosen location.
Bulk upload
If you are uploading 100 files or more, or your documents amount to approximately 500mb or more of data, our Bulk upload feature will be automatically triggered.
The bulk upload dialogue box will display the percentage progress of the upload and the number of files uploaded thus far.
Once your upload is complete, the dialogue box will look like this:
You can click the ‘View uploaded documents here’ link to be taken to the relevant folder location.
Uploading a pre-existing folder structure
If you would like to upload a pre-existing folder structure, including an empty nest of folders, you can do so by compressing all your folders into a .zip file and using the ‘Upload folders (.zip)’ button.
Navigate to the location of your .zip file, select it, and click ‘open’. This will trigger the bulk upload dialogue box, which will inform you when the file is unzipped and the upload is complete:
