Two-factor authentication
If your project has two-factor authentication enabled, you will need to enter a 6-digit code, in addition to your username and password, upon every log-in.
In the first instance, you will need to register your account via the initial email invite link. During registration, you will be sent a 2FA code by email.
For all subsequent logins, you will be sent a 6-digit code as a text message to your mobile device.
When the screenshot below is displayed, link your mobile number with your Engage account by choosing your country code (e.g. United Kingdon (+44)) and then entering your mobile number. Next, hit ‘Send Code’:
You will receive a 6-digit code via text message to your mobile phone. Enter this code and hit ‘Verify Code’:
You will now be redirected to your dashboard.
Going forward, you will only need to navigate through step two of this process.
2FA override
As a Project Owner, you can override (disable) 2FA for a given user.
This feature can be utilised when a user has no access to their mobile device, or their device isn’t receiving the text message containing the code (i.e. due to lack of reception).
In the ‘Users’ page, click on the user in question then click ‘edit’ at the top of the user side-panel.
Click ‘Yes’ to disable 2FA for this user. Click Save.
Please note: clicking 'Yes' will disable 2FA for this user in this project and all other projects, even if 2FA is enabled in Project settings.
